At first, I thought "hmm, the composition is a bit too busy". But as I looked at the picture I realized that everyone except the black guy in the far background, is intensely focused on the chess game and thus an integral part of the scene. I kept looking at the shot for at least 1 minute, and then I came back to it. On first impression, the white guy is losing, but maybe appearances are deceiving?
