I'm no expert, but I believe that all non-professional films intended
for the consumer market contain a chemical stabilizer to extend shelf
life.

These types of films are generally stored near the cash register at the
front of a store in full sunlight and variable humidity. I avoid them
unless I'm out of film with no other options.
