Hi,

it is a first rate MC filter. Just because it is made by Hoya does not
mean it is the same as a Hoya-branded filter. They are built to
entirely different specifications. I have a lot of Contax filters and
I still have a few (now unused) Hoya filters, and those Hoyas are no
Contaxes.
