Analogue aperature, exposure compensation and flash control dials/switches. Clip on hood and filters. Fast, sharp, contrasty 28F2.8 aspheric lens. Has 3 point passive infarred assist autofocus, viewfinder shutterspeed readout and auto parallax correction. Spot function and a hyperfocal setting that eliminates shutterlag. Gripes? Autofocus hunts a little unlike active systems and the lens has obvious distortion at the edges. "Egg" heads are common. Weak flash, but enough for 2.5m with 100ASA and 5.0m with 400ASA. Do you need more range with a P&S, indoors? The GR1's ultimate feature is the simple flash mode switch. All (correct me if I am wrong) P&S automatically charge and activate the flash when switched on. To turn the flash off, you usually have to press the tiny 2flash mode" switch several times. Not so with the GR1. Hans-Peter _________________________________________________________________ Get your FREE download of MSN Explorer at http://explorer.msn.com/intl.asp
