I loved the shot as I was taking it, and knew it was going to be a funny shot. It also stands as a statement on the Non-"Politically correct" attitude of Southern women, and that "Miss Magnolia doesn't live here anymore." I like calling it a snapshot, but truth is, it was taken at an airshow this past weekend, and I guess qualifies more as streetshooting than almost any of my other recent work has. I stalked her, got my picture, let her see that I was taking it, waited for her smile, said "Thank you, Ma'am," and left. (yes, Ma'am has two syllables down here.) Thanks, SonC http://www.SonC.com > > Talk about a strange objectification of women as in this women is rendered here > in color as an amazing object with the captions on two walls making is very interesting. > I really did think it was almost surreal the way that women looked on that booth > and i did think it was funny as well as excellent. > And i really did think it was deep. I'd not underestimate this shot! > > > Mark Rabiner > > Portland, Oregon > USA > > http://www.rabiner.cncoffice.com/
