Either they were stepped down or the focus was artistically interesting.<g> Now I've got a IIIf and I'm fiddling with focus. The results are about the same, it's going to take me some time to catch up. But I shall. The area before and after the plane of focus is obviously blurred, so the Nocti pictures have a very unique characteristic. It seems that I often take pictures with very small apertures, to see as much in focus as possible. So the use of maximum apertures will really change how you record that moment..... that decisive moment.
