While the weight doesn't bother me I find I simply cannot live with the vignetting at f/1 especially so when I use it in day time lighting. So more often than not I end up using the Noctilux at f/2 or f/1.4. A lot of photographers like the black corner effect with B&W film and see this as an advantage but I prefer to burn in the corners in the darkroom when I choose to do so. Recently I got a brand new 50mm Summilux and I love it. If you already have the Summicron and just want that extra stop then I can't recommend the Nokton enough - it is very sharp wide open, cheap, and light. Else IMHO the 50mm Summilux is the way to go.
