Buy a tank and a few reels and a changing bag and you can develop comfortably in your sink. Buy an entry-level filmscanner and you can get instant feedback! I haven't made contact sheets for years. You soon learn to judge a negative for composition, exposure, sharpness and development by eye. The only thing that's hard to tell is facial expression - but that's what the filmscanner's for! A much better investment of your time and money than mail order. - -- John Brownlow http://www.pinkheadedbug.com ICQ: 109343205
