In order to save time, I took some chemicals with me to develop the films as I went along. The property that we were staying has a septic tank. The only chemicals that I put down the sink was very diluted used developer (ID11, which contains sodium sulphite, metol and hydroquinone). I brought the stop and fixer back with me. I wonder whether anyone has any experience or knowledge about septic tanks and whether it is actually OK to dispose of exhausted developer, stop and fix (Ammonium thiosulphate) in them. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks Mark Pope Swindon, Wilts UK http://www.monomagic.co.uk
