i am borrowing an f1 this weekend, it's the E60 with the removable hood.
i also looked at the new build-in hood model.  i believe these have
the same optical construction.

it struck me that the removable hood (older model) offered more light
shading, as well as better physical protection.  does anyone have
opinions of the newest f1 versus the previous one?
