[Author Prev] [Author Next] [Thread Prev] [Thread Next] [Author Index] [Topic Index] [Home] [Search]Hi, I'm still a newbie to Leica and the list really, I have a couple of questions, please forgive me if they seem basic, but I trying to learn. 1: After reading a thread on the clarity of a picture at f16, there was some discussion about using which f stop for maximum sharpness etc.? If I am after an image with a large depth of field and maximum sharpness, (assuming the image meets the criteria (hyperfocus?), then am I best to shoot it at say f16 or say f8 ? I've just been blasting away at 16 as the lens pulls that much light, but now I am wondering, if I should be stopping back or not? Actually - forget the depth of field, will f8 be sharper than f16? 2: Different question altogether: Using the B&W C41 T400CN film, I realise the lab prints these negs onto colour paper. Is it possible to print these negs using your own enlarger at home, onto black and white paper? This may be a silly question, but I was wondering if there was a colour imbalance, or maybe you need to use a filter etc.? Or maybe just suck it and see, as I am sure I will, but if anyone has comments, or done this, then please let me know.
