Very pretty place down there! And to Mike- about sweet tea- years ago, when I was a lad, I didn't know it came any other way but sweet! There was a joke here, later, that went: Q- "What do you get when you order unsweetened tea around here? A- "Dirty looks!" It seemed like a tradition, the origens of which were lost in the past. Perhaps because it was because of the sugar grown in the south. Really, it was, and in some place still is, something as uquitous as fish fries and hushpuppies in the summer! Alas- things are changing, especially here in the 'City' where we have electricity most all the time! Sushi bars and Mexican restaurants are springing up like toadstools after a rain, and you see more and more young folks out joggin' and carryin' bottles of "Designer Water". No longer do you get dirty looks when you order Iced Tea- they just quietly leave a little bowl of "Sweet-'n-Low" and go about their 'bidness'! Oh, and about that recipe- you all gotta use "Lusianne" brand tea, as it is blended to be served cold- it doesn't get cloudy when chilled! :o) Dan ( Ole times, dey is not forgotten....)
