Oddly enough, the use of the wind lever to turn the camera meter on and off - - used in the Nikon FE (and FE2, FM, FM2, FM2n among others) - is a source of many complaints from users of these cameras, especially from left-eyed users. If you're left-eyed, the wind lever pokes you in the right eye when it's in the on position.
