I really do think it was the lens and maybe a differing part, like a shim or a different helix used. Proving it would be relatively impossible... What I could tell is that the lens did focus correctly when it got back to me. I will consider my self fortunate then that mine worked perfectly right off the bat! For what these things cost, they ALL should work right off the bat ;-/ FYI, I bought both my M6 body and 75/1.4 used. Both were barely used, if even for more than one or two rolls!
