The focus screen in the R8 is very simple to change with the right tool.
Additional screens come with the changing tool that has a lip that will
pull out the retainer holding the screen in place. Then use the clamping
portion of the tool to grab the small tab on the screen and put the screen
away. To install, grabbing the screen by the tab with the tool, lay the
screen
on the retaining frame in the camera. It has to fit inside the frame as the
frame
has to swing up into position and hold the screen in place.

I routinely change between the ground glass, ground glass with grid, and the
central microprism screens. One important tip is to lay the R8 down facing
you,
but keep the top propped up just a bit. The screen falls right down when
released.

Very easy to change, harder to keep clean.
