Hi David,
yep two and more cameras all at the same time with the same film, as
changing lenses in mid shoot on something moving quickly nets one missed
photo opportunities. Or when working on the Olympics varying long focal
length lenses are the norm, in many cases it's imperative to have a minimum
of three cameras all with long glass and the same film, usually slide film.
But of late it's becoming colour neg. or digital.

In the olden days we had to shoot B&W as well as colour on the same picture
which was always a pain in the butt. Quite often the best was on the wrong
film, so when photo editor wanted it in colour the best frame would be in
B&W. Eventually the world and technology changed and today it's easier to
shoot all colour neg., then one can go slides, colour or B&W, prints in
either.
