But, Tom, your evidence does NOT support Seth.  Seth stated, rather baldly,
that Leica, today, has QC problems which Leitz did not experience.  Your
evidence points only to the present, not to the past.

The burden is still on Seth to show us some hard figures -- not anecdotes!
- -- from the '20's, and '30's, and so forth.  The humorous part of this is
that Erwin, whom some ill-spirited souls have driven from the LUG, could
have enlightened us more than a bit on this, as he DOES have some
information on the record for QC at Leica in the earlier years.

But, then, we can live in a universe of superstition, myth, and calumny if
we wish.  I choose not to, and I must admit that every new purchase I have
made from Leica since 1986 has been perfect with one exception, and that
was IMMEDIATELY cured, to my complete satisfaction.  But, my experience
counts no more than does yours, Tom, or anyone else's:  what counts is the
overall statistics, and I suspect this will only come out in that huge
defamation lawsuit ...
