Except that back then I couldn't afford to own a Leica. My 400/5.6 still raises some eyebrows. You don't find many pistol grips on modern lenses. Pistol grips, as we all know, dissapeared long before metal lens shades; and were never that common from the start. Today dof markings seem to be a scarced commodity. Not that the average non-photographer would notice. Someday I'd like to hear, "Look! A real photographer. His lenses have depth of field markings. Dave
