I've used my Nikons once or twice a year for copy macros. I take the batteries out when I'm done so they don't leak. I've shot dance and fashion parties new years eve and otherwise where the only way i can see is to make my flash go off. And I'm using a 35mm lens aimed at 6 feet away and I've got eveyting in focus from 4 ft. to 11 ft. I'd point my camera when i heard an interesting noise and shoot; never looked though it! You people have too many cameras. And are too quick to separate into cute categories: the Leica can do this the Nikon do this. I tell people put ALL your cameras in storage and see what in a year you COULDN'T SHOOT with your Leica M's. NOT MUCH. I've had no use for AF in years. I am AF! mark rabienr
