I got mottled fogging with a ragged-edge strip down the center of more
fog with new Delta 400 in 120. Camera and process problems have been
absolutely eliminated. Several people in a couple of mailing lists and on
the newsgroups have reported similar odd fogging with their rolls of 35mm.
I believe this fogging to be caused by pressure/bending; my Rollei 6003
bends the film pretty tightly around a couple of rollers and rolls the
takeup spool tight. Could be there's something wrong with the particular
emulsion batch that causes such a sensitivity or could be that the film's
just that way, but it's hard for me to believe that Ilford would let it out
the door that way if it's a characteristic of the film; that would
eliminate its use in an assortment of popular cameras.
The batch number I have is 51CTM1T01-03 Exp Sep 2003.
