If you're looking at different 400s, try Agfapan 400. It's a great, fine
grain film that works beautifully with XTOL 1:3 (as I'm finding out). I
also use HP5+ and have used Delta 400 quite a bit, but IMO, if you're after
fine grain and smooth tonal gradation, you'd be hard pressed to find a
better film than the Agfa.
