I have an SF20 flash.  The answer to your question is on page 50 of the
manual.  With the R8, everything is automatic in the ttl mode.  With the
M6TTL, however, you must manually transfer the aperture selected on the
camera to the flash by first pressing the aperture select key (15) then use
the up/down key to adjust the aperture.  If you change the apeture on the
camera, you must reset the value on the flash.
