Yes, the camera body is much more grippable and when eye meets VF the leather smells nice too. :?) I have been using variations of these covers on most of my cameras for a couple of years now. My first effort was an attempt at trying to cut down the noise of my motorised R6.2 - well that didn't work, but I noticed the cover made the camera more comfortable to hold and also protected it from light bumps and greasy finger prints. Helped conceal the mugger's bullseye as well (ie. Leica logo and red dot). When I started using Ms at the end of 1999 I also made a cover for them and now wouldn't use a hand-held camera without one. It's a sort of every-ready case which is literally always ready. No fiddling or unclasping - just grab the camera and take the shot. The latest cover - the one shown in the JPEG - has additional layers of material stuck to the inside of the leather. With a total laminate thickness of @ 8mm, this time round there _is_ some noise reduction. Not much of course, but every little bit helps. The funny thing about these covers is that some people sneer when they first see them - as indeed did the guy who bought my M4-2 + cover a few months back. I caught up with him a few weeks ago and now he loves the thing, he has realised he never has to bag the camera between shots and doesn't have to baby it (as much) any more.
