Oddmund didn't make a comment on some topic of photojournalist endeavor. He spun us off on a tangent about the theory of Global Warming based on a minor OT discussion of lens cleaning cloths. Robert, I greatly respect your work from India that I've seen and the work of many PJs around the world, but I think any of us would hard pressed to make a credible case that the over production of microfibre lens cleaning cloths is one of the pressing social issues of our times that deserves the LUG's full attention much less that it has anything to do with editorial photographic use of our Leica's. >In any case, Oddmund's routine remark about global warning hardly merited >the heavy response it got from another list member. The comment in and of itself wouldn't have been that big a deal, but the thread that such off hand comments spin up creates far too much drek on the LUG which diverts us from the topic that we are supposed to share a firm interest in.
