Summarons tend to sell for around half of a Summicron, try and get the f2.8 version if you can, I used one for years and loved it.
I used the Ultron for a couple of weeks (on trial) and found it large in comparison, results were great though.
It depends on what you want, speed or compactness, price or performance?

Well, I finalized a deal on an M2, and I'm just waiting for it to be
delivered. Next up is a 35mm lens, and, for a while, I'm going to be
on a bit of a budget. I'd like to get the pre-ASPH Summicron, but,
but would also like to have a 35 to use in the mean time.  Today it
was suggested that a Summaron might be a nice addition to the
collection, and I was thinking also that a Voigtlander 35/1.7 might
also be a good choice.  What's the group's wisdom on these lenses?
