They did a lot of stuff. The biggest improvements for me were in the way color is managed -- TOTALLY revamped and a lot, lot better -- and importantly for us photographers, they massively extended the number of functions that work in 16-bit mode. So much so that about 90% of my image editing can now be done in 16-bit. I only have to convert into 8-bit to use channels and adjustment layers. This last was definitely worth the price of the upgrade. There are also a lot of incremental improvements that just make life nicer. - -- Johnny Deadman http://www.pinkheadedbug.com
