My negatives mounted in this slide mount show clear film on all four sides of the frame. I don't use it as often as the Gepe because it is black and I can't write the file numbers on the mount with an ordinary Sharpie. It's also a little thicker than the Gepe and takes up more room in the bulk slide scanner, but when I have a negative with important information at the edges, I always use this mount.
