From the hour I spent logged on, I agree with your assessment.  It may be
that most of the questions were addressed in a substantive way before we
were able to log on, and that would explain the reticence of the Leica
hosts.  But while I was there, all potentially controversial questions were
wholly ignored, and only trivial matters addressed.  In fact, the most
interesting thing I read in the hour I was on was that they considered a
28-90 vario to be a most useful focal range.  They ignored all questions
about the future of the 35-70/2.8.

All in all, a disappointment.  But I'm happy to see they are commited to
this forum and are interested in improving upon it.  Let's see what the next
one is like.
