Rob Conley >>> wajsman@webshuttle.ch 03/26/01 11:46PM >>> This past Friday I was in London on a quick business trip. While eating lunch with fellow LUGger Sal diMarco I spotted this guy with his very cute dog arranging himself in the drizzle outside, and wrapping his blanket around the dog to protect it from the rain. I asked him if I could take a picture of the two of them, and he answered yes unconditionally. I did give him 1 pound afterwards. I no longer shoot homeless people sleeping on benches etc., I find that a bit dishonest, not real street photography. This one is significant for me because I actually asked the person to pose, something I am ordinarily too shy to do. Perhaps the influence of sitting with a real life photojournalist helped me get my courage up...
