Oh, because I'm a nerd. A grain sniffer. Anyone who knows me from this and
other groups knows that the image is primary with me but I do love to know
those kinds of things. I love to know whether the developer was Rodinal or
D76 or Xtol or some homebrew split process.

 Like with movies, I'm now the guy who sits watching the credits, because
most times I know some of the people who roll past. Ah, so and so was the
casting director. It's kind of the same with pictures. That's a wonderful
print! What is it? A 1270 on Somerset Enhanced! Oh, yeah. I think it's just
the attitude of a producer as opposed to a consumer.

As for collectors the techinical details of the medium can be important for
how the image is curated.
