The problem is, as another Lugger pointed out, my little scenario is not too far from reality, and was in part a recollection of the "coverage" of the Gulf War, perhaps the first start-to-finish TV war. If I'm not mistaken, Bush didn't even know the war had started until he heard it on TV, and I remember being at work and hearing my colleagues talk about "watching the war on TV" after dinner. You wonder if it's possible that anything presented on TV not be viewed as entertainment, even war. (I don't think it is.) It's a wonderful world. Guy
