I certainly did.  When the newfangled German version of the 75/1.4
came out, I hurried up and bought a Canadian lens -- so I could be
sure I had the known-good design and wouldn't be caught by any
teething problems.  Besides, wasn't that (excellent) lens designed in
Canada?
