Leslie,
- - Take readings in the highlight and the shadow, adjust the settings on your M2, and then put away the meter and forget about it. Most of the time light changes very slowly, and you will be able to use these readings for many hours, unless it is late afternoon light when light changes faster.

- - If you are using B/W or color film, remember that these films are very forgiving, and 1-2 stops wrong settings up or down will not ruin the image.

- - Best are digital meters with large easily read digits. No need for reading glasses.

- - Inside film packages there are guides for exposure. It is easy to learn to interprete shadows (hard, soft or none) each mening one stop difference. This is good help on a a partly cloudy day when light changes often, so you don't have to meter more than necessary.

- - BTW, the early M6 samples will accept the 50 DR. There are lots of dealers that can be trusted to deliver the correct type.

- - Good luck!
