When I first ordered it, I feared that it would be made of scraps left over from the building of MIR space station, but was pleasanlty surprised to find that it was fairly well made, and that it seemed to meet many of Marc's evaluations toward Russian glass! Seems fairly sharp, but on an SLR, and with my old peepers, it is a real bear to focus - everything LOOKS in focus, but you have to check twice and make sure!!
