I do wish that the head in the foreground were not there, but the shop is very small and quite busy, so I had no opportunity to have a scene with just the shopkeeper and one customer. And there was not much space to move around for a clearer view. In a way, that is why I like this picture--I managed to get a decent composition despite those constraints. Another thing this shot demonstrates is how usable Ilford SFX is. I am in the process of shooting a brick of it given to me by a friend, dated 10/98 but kept in a fridge. It is a nice normal film, but slap a dark red filter on the lens and you have sort-of infrared effects. Very versatile film. Nathan "Michael E.
