Why must you pass judgment on so many people? We now understand the motives of each of the players well enough without your capitalised pronouncements. I for one will be on the lookout for a 35-70/2.8 for Dr Yao and not with any intention of gouging him. He has shown to many of us that his trading in Leicas is more for the love of it and to make up for the disgraceful sub-par performance of the authorised agents many of us have to suffer than making a quick buck. His is the spirit of the Leica enthusiast and gentleman I know him to be. As has been pointed out before this lens had been gathering dust on a dealer's shelf for the best part of the last year and it was only when Leica decided to abandon production that the market price went crazy. Who knows how many others are out there? It was clearly not a greatly attractive offering to users even at the relatively low price it was initially offered. All I have learned is yet another dealer whose business practices are unethical in that his word cannot be trusted and is it even legal to sell a new item above list price in Canada? Are there not certain conditions for authorised dealers to remain authorised? Oh yes and the other thing is Leica has made the R system look even more vulnerable than it was whilst pushing the technology gap another 5 years behind its erstwhile pro SLR camera competitors: stuck somewhere in the early 1980s by my assessment. Oh dear. I am not selling my EOS system anytime soon and somehow doubt I will buy those other R lenses after all... Wide angle zoom: hahaha. Though maybe Sigma can sell them some old stock... Digital M and Digital R: I think not. Ah - maybe Fuji is ready for a real joint venture and the little FUCAs will hit the market soon... We can dream...
