Gary, think about it for a second. The release for a motor or winder-equipped M is
the camera's normal shutter release. Therefore, any device that will attach to the
threaded socket in there will achieve what you want, even a bulb release with a long
wire or any radio device. There is no reason to connect anything to the winder.
