But...get far more than 128M, more like 256M as a min, and even 512M if you can. A 4000DPI color scan of 35mm is 1 x 1.5 x 4000 x 4000 x 3 or 72M bytes...so manipulating that file in PhotoShop is going to use a LOT of RAM. Also, disk space gets eaten up VERY fast...so you may want to strongly consider a much larger hard disk... Personally, I use a PC, and it really is a personal preference. I do believe 'more' is available for a PC than a Mac, and it also seems to be cheaper...
