No wonder Marvin Moss left the LUG -- it was more fun when Eric Welch and you and I and Marvin could all fuss at each other with no one juggling our elbows for being grumpy all the time. Remember when Erwin first joined our number and was appalled at the adversarial tone on the LUG? Remember when you told me off for a mis-statement on the windage in an 8mm rifle barrel, and the UK members started slanging us as a bunch of gun-nuts? Then Ted and Tina came, and everything got nice. <groan> And Eric left for his jewelry gig. So, only you and I remain as the exemplars of the "old LUG" -- Ted can get by with being grumpy, but, what the Hell, he's old, avidly pursued by apparently luscious younger wimmen, and, besides, he's been crapped on by a diarhettic cow and if there is ONE SINGLE THING which would affect MY outlook on life, it would be serving as the target for a bovine excretory exercize. And now YOU are selling out to the 'feel-good generation'. BD has turned nice. Jem Kime hasn't a mean bone in his body, I suspect. Mark Rabiner is a kind and gentle soul. Argh! I am going to go and found me a perfect camera discussion List, <grumpyoldfarts@takethis!.com> It will be my final service to photography. I feel so depressed by the New and Gentler Jim Brick that I may just smash all my Leica and Rollei and Hasselblad gear and go sit on a hilltop for a couple of decades and ponder. I just have to find the proper hilltop, one overlooking a gloomy cemetery. Humph! Marc msmall@roanoke.infi.net FAX: +540/343-7315 Cha robh bas fir gun ghras fir!
