Just an FYI about, what I consider, a cool darkroom/camera room 'gadget'.
Radio Shack sells an LCD Digital thermometer/hygrometer.  It is battery
operated, very small and easily wall mounts, or can be placed on a
shelf/table.  It displays both temp and humidity at the same time, retains
both the min and max temp/humidity that has been reached...and costs around
$25.  It's catalog number 63-1013.  It uses two AA batteries, and I've had a
couple of these for two years, and I haven't changed the batteries yet.

And no, I didn't just get a day job at Radio Shack...
