I've found the opposite, in that framing is less important with a 24mm -- and even more important, a slight movement of a long lens results in a huge shift of the image gathered. Using a 135 on a IIIf with a Russian finder, I could almost *never* frame correctly. Btw, it now seems that my M3 focuses past infinity.
