Optically perect with a small scratch and nick on the front lens barrel. Mechanically A1. Money back if not delighted. ? 400. (inc postage.) I'm sure Doug Herr will tell you it's the lens to go for, maybe Tina too. But I can't justify hanging on to mine, I use it so infrequently. And I do have a 600mm Novoflex (with 2x converter) if I ever need to do something similar. If that appeals in preference to the telyt let me know... best regards, Jem - -----Original Message----- From: Gwpics@aol.com [SMTP:Gwpics@aol.com] Sent: 10 February 2001 18:34 To: leica-users@mejac.palo-alto.ca.us Subject: [Leica] Advise wanted re 400mm My hunt for a long telephoto continues and I have located 2 lenses at Ffordes here in the UK. They are both 400mm f6.8 Telyt (one mint- and one Exc++) and both around the ?575 ($830) mark. Does anyone have any experience or opinions of this lens. There is also a 2x converter at around the ?300 ($435) mark. My alternatives are more expensive combinations of either 250mm or 350mm plus a converter if I want. Thanks!
