Well, it is black, but the small print is saying, in German, "The Green Dot". But aren't there even Leicas with black red dot? That means Leica has paid a fraction of a penny to a German Organisation named "Duales System Deutschland" (DSD). So provided you live in Germany, you are storing the Leica boxes, together with other paper or cardboard trash, at your home and place it on the street at a particular day which is announced one year in advance, one happy subsubsub-contractor of DSD will pick it up for recycling. Remember to remove styropor or other plastic inlets, collect and store them separately, and put them the street at another particular day which is announced one year in advance. Maybe your Leica box will have some interesting times after this, for instance a trip to Pakistan or India to be sorted and processed there. Or cardboard and plastic inlets can celebrate their reunion at a waste incineration plant, not less than 400km away from your home. Or if the subsubsub-contractor cuts short and arranges a little fire accident at his storage site (to avoid incineration/shipping cost), just 10km away from your home. Hans-Peter
