(And perhaps others?) I'm wondering if it would in fact be >*easier* to shoot with a 28 on an M body if you used an external finder -- >no problem of pressing your eye into the glass to see those framing lines, >etc. And it's not as if a 28 needs the same kind of accurate framing as a >135; nor does it need particularly accurate focusing, for that matter. Any >thoughts? > > > >Douglas Cooper >http://www.dysmedia.com > Hi Doug, My thoughts are that the finder will make things slower but more precise for you. I don't have the 28 but I do use the Leica finder with the 24. It slows me down compared to say, the 35 and using the camera finder. I would rather have focus than exact framing so sometimes I just look at the scene to check with the external finder and then work through the camera finder. Checking back and forth if the scene or my position changes. Since I have this great RF system for precise wide angle focusing I use it! If I was using a 28 I would NOT use an external finder. I'd just focus and shoot whats in the camera finder, framing the picture with the whole finder window. I doubt I'd miss much. Henry Ambrose
