Drove east through Morroco to the oasis of Figuig, on the Algerian border,
than along the southern edge of the high plateau to Lagghouat; south to
Ghardia, El-Golea, In Salah and Tamanrasset. Did the drive around Assekrem,
then over the rather difficult piste east to Djanet and around the Tassili
n'Ajjer. Back to Tam, then south to Agades. MAN THAT WAS FUN! Eventually
drove to Mombassa, took the old Karanja (British-India Line) to Bombay.
Drove from Bombay to Paris, sold the Land Rover, etc. Car was a 98 Series 3,
kind of small for the job but I rigged a bed that extended to the windshield
and lived in the car, all this with my first wife, who is now a partner at
Ernst & Young (!) BTW, I use one of your grips with my M6. Arthur
