The Tilley's are guaranteed for life.  If you ever lose it, they will 
replace it.  There's a pocket in the crown to put your name and address in 
a waterproof bag and a list of endorsements.   One interesting endorsement 
my an animal trainer says that his Tilley has been eaten by an elephant 
three times.  The trainer eventually gets the hat back a little worse for 
the journey, washes, and wears it again.
