Black paint is beautiful and having the brassing on an M6 would surely be
beautiful to a shooter.. I found that the black chrome anodizing wears
away pretty quickly and it doesn't look nearly as good. When I got my 3rd
M6 (black) cause they didn't have a chrome one, the first thing I did was
put black electrical tape on the body where I touch it the most to prevent
it from brassing too quickly..

Personally I don't see why someone would want the black paint on a working
camera, it would wear down far more quickly than the black chrome anodizing.

What I would like to see Leica do on the M6 black paint cameras is to make
black paint an option other than as anniversary model.
