Simon,
Well done on spotting our prime minister, Tony Blair, amongst 'The
Demonstrators'. It seems that he's looking quite young these days (maybe
the rain) and also that he enjoyed a good lunch at Burger King!

Hot off the easel! Inauguration Day pictures.

Here's the result of five hours shivering in the freezing drizzle of a
Washington, DC January. These are crowd shots of demonstrators and well
wishers, mostly taken around 9th and Pennsylvania Ave. While I was there
I glimpsed one other photographer shooting with a Leica and what looked
like a 24mm with finder, but I couldn't move through the crowd enough to
say hello and see if he was a member of the LUG. I also wasn't close
enough to see anything of the swearing in ceremony although I did
glimpse the President's hand (oh, boy!) as he whizzed by in the limo.
:) Anyway, for me I think these capture something of the flavor of the
day for those of us who weren't connected enough to get a good ticket.
Street photography isn't normally my thing but I had fun with these ones
and any comments would be appreciated. They can be found at:
