Steve >> Hello Steve . I have been contemplating the Tri - Elmar for more than 2 years and I think that the new version even makes it harder to resist now . But , just like you said " I could always take the Lux .... " . That means , that you will end up carrying all your lenses when you travel . I've already got a 35 summicron Asph , a 15 Heliar , a 50 Summicron and a 90 Tele-Elmarit . Knowing my self , I'm quite sure that if I buy it , it will not travel alone . I would always carry the other lenses along too . I could sell all the rest for it , but then I would regret it as soon as leave the store . Finally , I think it's a good lens if you just own this one and not anything else . This is a little bit like the different viewfinders they offer for the M6 . Annything else than the .72 , and your tools are becoming very specific and thus limited in there use . Hard to tell , but maybe the truth ! Jo Goodtimes , France . Live Free or Die.
