Yellow Dog is the way to go with Linux on Mac.  OSX has problems. Stick to
the last stable version MAC OS.

	Fun, isn't it?   I tried to install it on this IBM laptop but gave
up and called my 16 year old nephew.... works perfect now.

It's trying to set up the dual boot thing that kills most people.
Installation on a clean disk is never a problem with stable distributions.

I have it on my server and on this laptop.
